Stiff Your Neighbor is a fun card game that’s super easy to learn and play. Players sit at the table and are dealt just one card each hand, and the player with the lowest card loses. BUT FIRST, you’ll get one chance to decide whether to keep or trade your card. If you think don’t have the lowest card, then keep it. If you think you might have the lowest card, you can try to ‘Stiff Your Neighbor’ with you card. Your neighbor has to accept your trade, but you never know what card your neighbor has until you make the trade. Once you trade, you can’t switch back. Your neighbor might ‘Stiff’ you with a lower card then the one you traded with them! Once every player has their turn, all cards are flipped over, and the player with the lowest card loses the hand and must add a chip into the pot to play the next hand. The last player standing wins the entire pot!

How to Play

Start Stiff Your Neighbor by signing in through Facebook. Then become a ‘Game Host’ and invite 2-6 Facebook friends to play, or you can accept an invitation to play. The game will start once all invitees arrive, or the Game Host can manually start the game at any time (any invitees that did not join will not be able to play). Every player has 100 chips added to their account when the app is downloaded, and 5 chips is required to play each game. The game starts with each player adding one chip into the pot. Players will then be dealt one card per hand, and will only see their own card (nobody can see your card). When it is your turn, your name will appear in red and your photo will glow. Look at your card to decide if youd like to keep it or trade it (you can touch your card to magnify it). Tap ‘Keep’ to hold onto your card if you think your card is NOT the lowest card for the hand dealt. Tap ‘Trade’, to trade your card with your neighbor to you left, if you think your card might be the lowest card dealt that hand. When you tap ‘Trade’ you’re hoping to give your neighbor your low card and take their high card, aka: ‘Stiff Your Neighbor’. The game then moves to your neighbor, who then also decides to keep or trade. This goes around the table to the last player, and after the last player decides to keep or trade, the hand ends and all cards are exposed. The player(s) holding the lowest card, are the only ones required to put a chip into the pot to play the next hand. As long as you do not lose a hand, you never have to put a chip in. No chips are ever removed until the game ends. When you are out of chips, you are out of the game. The last player left in the game wins all the chips in the pot, which are added to their individual chip count.
